UW Department of Radiology Ranked #11 by Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research

The Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research recently released their 2021 ranking of institutions, departments, and principal investigators by the funding they received from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Radiology held strong this year, ranking #11 with nearly $16 million in NIH funding after ranking #10 in 2020. 

A number of our faculty were also amongst the highest ranked radiology researchers, including Jamey Weichert, PhD (#28), Diego Hernando, PhD (#41), Alan McMillan, PhD (#88), and Scott Reeder, MD, PhD (#108). Within medical schools across the country, the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health ranked #25 with $246 million in NIH funding.
