What do Apple computers, the Seattle Seahawks, and the Big Sky Radiology Conference have in common? You guessed it: they all celebrate their 40th birthday in 2016.
The 40th Annual Big Sky Radiology Conference will be held late in January 2016 in beautiful Big Sky, Montana. Nestled between three major mountain ranges, Big Sky boasts 3,600 acres of alpine skiing, 65 miles of cross country ski trails-and one of the longest running destination radiology conferences.
However, the conference isn’t all fun and games. For the 3rd year, we will be offering SAM credits in addition to CME credits. The conference offers participants the opportunity to earn 18 CME credits and 6 SAM credits. Guest speakers include Duke University’s Donald Frush, M.D., FACR, and Oregon Health & Sciences University’s Steven Primack, M.D. Both speakers are three-year veterans of Big Sky.
In addition, several UW Radiology faculty will be lecturing at the conference. Those faculty include Kirkland Davis, M.D., J. Louis Hinshaw, M.D., Roberta Strigel, M.D., and Greg Avey, M.D.
Forty years is an exceptional run for a yearly conference, and we are thankful for the efforts of staff and faculty that have made this trip possible throughout the years. As we look towards the future, we hope that our radiologists will be hitting be enjoying the mountain views for years to come.
