Why did you choose radiology?

I originally planned to become a surgical oncologist. My career path changed in medical school when a mentor introduced me to the field of Interventional Radiology. I was blown away by the ability of IR to perform life-saving procedures through a tiny skin nick. I’ve never looked back!

What are your career interests and goals?

I am passionate about medical education and providing excellent clinical care for Wisconsinites, including offering new and emerging IR treatments for hemorrhoids, enlarged prostates, osteoarthritis, and cancer.

What are your professional interests?

Hemorrhoid artery embolization, prostate artery embolization, genicular artery embolization, and interventional oncology.

Why did you choose to work at UW?

I chose to work at UW for the opportunity to return home and work in a department with a culture, clinical expertise, and research program second to none.

What are your hobbies?

Long-distance running, travel, exploring new bars and restaurants, Badgers football, and spending time with my wife and dogs.
