Where are you from?
I’m from
Urbana, Illinois.

Why did you choose radiology?
I was drawn to the medical field by the intellectual challenge involved in making a diagnosis. As a radiologist, I enjoy being able to focus on doing exactly that, both by interpreting imaging and performing imaging-guided procedures, ultimately allowing patients to get the care they need.

What are your professional interests?
My fellowship was in neuroradiology, and I enjoy all facets of neuroimaging. I also completed a 6-month resi-fellowship in breast imaging and intervention during my last year of residency. I believe wholeheartedly in the mission of detecting breast cancer early and feel privileged to be a part of the breast imaging team here.

Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
The supportive, collegial work environment fostered by everyone in the radiology department was a big draw and something I benefited from every day as a trainee here. I also appreciate how the department is practicing at the cutting edge of imaging science and how our ability to take care of patients is always advancing.

What are your hobbies?
My wife and I are proud parents of one daughter, and there’s nothing I enjoy more than spending time together as a family. I also like distance running, and Madison is a beautiful place to run year-round.
