Nancy Ann Little, MD joined the Division of Community Radiology as a clinical assistant professor in October 2025.

After obtaining her medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine, she completed her internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Dr. Little joined the UW Department of Radiology as a diagnostic radiology resident in 2021 and served as chief resident from 2022 to 2024. During this time, she also represented residents on the Program Evaluation Committee and Women Professionals in Radiology. After her DR residency, she trained in interventional radiology at the University of Alabama Birmingham.

Where are you from?
Salt Lake City, Utah and Bozeman, Montana.

Why did you choose radiology?
I was initially attracted to the breadth of the field and ability to answer questions to move patient care forward. Ultimately, I chose interventional radiology because I missed working directly with patients and understanding their stories, and the immediate satisfaction that comes with working with my hands and helping to address patients’ needs.

What are your professional interests?
I love continuing to learn – but currently particularly enjoy pelvic, deep venous and oncologic interventions.

Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
The department is robust and filled with wonderful, dedicated people who provide excellent patient care and contribute to the field of radiology.

What are your hobbies?
Enjoying the outdoors, particularly skiing, biking and hiking with my husband (and with the rest of my family when we get to return home).
