The UW Department of Radiology hosts two conferences annually. Although the focus of each differs, they both provide an opportunity to connect with colleagues and exchange ideas. In addition, the department partners with GE HealthCare to offer the GE MR Programming Workshop online.
University of Wisconsin Radiology Summit
The multi-day educational event offers opportunities to learn, connect and ski the beautiful mountains in Park City, Utah. Open to all radiologists, the next summit will be held January 19-22, 2026.
Zachary Clark Radiology Research Symposium
Held in spring, the annual symposium celebrates the high-caliber radiology research conducted by our medical students, residents, and fellows. The half-day event held on campus also embodies the department’s dedication to both research and education. Mark your calendars for our next symposium on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Magnetic Resonance in Madison
Sponsored by the UW Department of Radiology and endorsed by ISMRM, the meeting is held annually in summer. In a relaxed atmosphere, colleagues will learn about the latest ideas and developments concerning the science, engineering, and methods advancing MRI with clinical and neuroscience applications.
Additional Educational Opportunities
GE MR Programming Workshop (EPIC and Orchestra)
Conducted online, the workshop is designed for beginners learning how to use the pulse sequence and reconstruction tools available for researchers on the GE HealthCare MR platforms.
CT-POW: Computed Tomography – Protocol Optimization Workshop
The interdisciplinary, hands-on workshop is dedicated to enhancing CT protocols and workflows. Designed for radiologists, CT technologists, imaging informaticists, and medical physicists, this event provides a unique opportunity to collaborate, learn, and implement practical solutions to optimize CT imaging practices. The next annual workshop will be held August 10-11, 2026.
