Chen and Pickhardt to Attend Prestigious Symposium

Posted on March 2011

We are proud to announce that two faculty members of the Radiology Department were invited to attend the 13th Annual International Symposium on Multidetector-Row CT.

Associate Professor Guang-Hong Chen, of Medical Physics and Radiology, and Dr. Perry Pickhardt, Professor of Radiology, were both invited to attend as faculty speakers at the prestigious symposium.

The International Symposium on Multidetector-Row CT is highly esteemed for its in-depth and comprehensive coverage of Multidetector-Row CT technology. Over the span of four days, 160 lectures from 65 international faculty assess the evolution of this technology, which uses two-dimensional detector elements to acquire multiple sections simultaneously and increase the speed of CT image acquisition.

This year’s symposium will be held June 13-16 in San Francisco. Congrats to Dr. Pickhardt and Associate Professor Chen!
