Katharine Molinarolo, MD joined the Division of Community Radiology as a clinical assistant professor in November 2025.
Dr. Molinarolo completed her bachelor’s and medical degrees at UW–Madison. During her residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics, she served as chief resident. She returned to UW for her abdominal imaging and intervention fellowship in 2023. Most recently, Dr. Molinarolo practiced radiology at Radiology Associates in Appleton, WI.

Why did you choose radiology?
The diverse nature of radiology drew me in. Almost every patient will get imaging, and those are our opportunities to make a difference.
What are your professional interests?
Collaborative learning. Community engagement.
Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
I have always felt at home at UW and in Madison. No matter where I went in the Midwest, Madison kept calling me back. With world-renowned colleagues and Stella’s spicy cheese bread, everything is right.
What are your hobbies?
Crocheting. Hiking on the nearby trails. Baking. Playing the violin.
