
Lewis Jordan, MD, MPH, MS joined the Section of Breast Imaging as an assistant professor (CHS) in July 2025.
Dr. Jordan earned his first master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in 2013. A year later, he obtained his second master’s degree in public health and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from Dartmouth College. In 2019, he completed his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
After his residency at Rush University Medical Center, he completed his breast imaging fellowship at the UW Hospital and Clinics.

Why did you choose radiology?
Radiology is such a unique part of medicine where you can help colleagues from all over the hospital (or the world) from the reading room. You get to help multiple patients in a short period of time.
What are your professional interests?
Equitable access to care including, but not limited to, breast cancer screening in care. Additional professional interests include public health and quality improvement.
Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
This place took such great care of a family member at one point in time and I’m eternally grateful and appreciative of the hardworking and brilliant people here. It is an honor to work amongst such accomplished and caring people.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy spending time with family, including my wife, Olivia, and two kids, Austin and Ava. My other hobbies include learning about computers and video games, as well as powerlifting.
