Noemi Brunner, MD joined the Section of Emergency Radiology as a clinical professor in March 2026.
Dr. Brunner attended Escuela Mexicana de Medicina for medical school and the American British Cowdray Hospital for residency. She completed a CT and MRI Fellowship at the Instituto Nacional de la Nutrición, and an emergency radiology fellowship at the University of Washington. Most recently, she was an assistant professor with the University of Chicago.

Mexico City, born and raised.
Why did you choose radiology?
I really liked that radiology encompasses almost everything.
What are your professional interests?
Imaging the acutely ill patient.
Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
The idea that they were starting a new Emergency Radiology section and the high recognition the university has in radiology.
What are your hobbies?
Travelling with my husband and two daughters, trying new food and being with my dog.
