Already an established, respected leader in the UW Department of Radiology, Dr. Avey serves as the associate vice chair for clinical affairs, director of head and neck imaging, and director of fellowships.
Dr. Avey shared, “Being selected for the leadership development program is quite an honor. It is an opportunity to further my personal and professional growth in order to better serve the department, our faculty, trainees, and patients.”
The department highlights lifelong learning as a key value and encourages faculty and staff to participate in professional development opportunities such as the PLDP. In fact, 11 faculty members have completed the program including section chiefs, vice chairs, and current Department Chair Scott Reeder, MD, PhD.
