Two graduate students were awarded travel grants to attend the Society for Neuroscience 2011 Conference, held November 12-16 in Washington, D.C. Timothy Meier, a Neuroscience Ph.D. graduate student who is mentored by Dr. Prabhakaran, was awarded the UW Graduate School’s Vilas Research Travel Award. Julian Motzkin, a Medical Science Training Program (MSTP)-Neuroscience M.D./Ph.D. graduate student, was awarded the Ann E. Kelley Fellowship Travel Award. Motzkin is co-mentored by Dr. Prabhakaran and the Neuroscience Training Program’s Michael R. Koenigs, Ph.D.
