Biography

Dr. Shane Wells is an associate professor (CHS) of Radiology in the Abdominal Imaging Section. He completed his fellowship training in abdominal imaging and abdominal and cardiovascular MRI at the University of Wisconsin in 2012 and residency training at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Prior to pursuing a career in medicine, he trained and worked as a registered nurse, focusing on care of the critically ill. Dr. Wells was delighted to return to the UW team in 2014. Specific areas of research interests include image-guided interventional oncology and the application of medical imaging, MRI and PET in particular, as a method to improve procedural outcomes.
