Biography
Michio Taya, MD grew up in Seattle, WA. He obtained his medical degree and master of science in clinical research methods from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed his internship at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Dr. Taya completed his Diagnostic Radiology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and served as Chief Resident during his time there. He completed his Abdominal Imaging and Ultrasound Fellowship at University of California San Francisco.
Dr. Taya joined the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention section as an assistant professor (CHS) in 2024. His professional interests include oncologic imaging, population health, and resident education.
