Biography
Matthew Niemeyer, MD grew up in St. Louis, MO. He spent 10 years in Ann Arbor where he obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees at the University of Michigan, followed by his Internship at St. Joseph Mercy. He returned to his hometown for his diagnostic radiology residency at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Washington University in St. Louis, and then finished his training in Chicago with a Vascular and Interventional Radiology fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Niemeyer joined the Interventional Radiology section in 2024 as an associate professor (CHS). His professional interests include interventional oncology, portal hypertension, and large animal model translational research.
