Biography

Noemi Brunner grew up in Mexico City. She attended Escuela Mexicana de Medicina for medical school and American British Cowdray Hospital for residency. She completed a CT and MRI fellowship at the Instituto Nacional de la Nutrición, and an emergency radiology fellowship at the Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington.

Dr. Brunner joined the Section of Emergency Radiology in 2026. Before joining UW–Madison, she worked at the University of Chicago for seven years. Prior to that role, Dr. Brunner was an assistant professor at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where she served as the vice chair of radiology and received the 2012-2013 Radiology Resident Academic Faculty Teaching Award.

Her professional interests include imaging in penetrating and blunt trauma, acute abdomen, among others.
