Matthew Shore, MD has joined the Pediatric Radiology section as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Shore completed his Fellowship and Residency with UW Hospital & Clinics before joining Madison Radiologists SC in 2019.
Where are you from?
Glenview, IL
Why did you choose radiology?
It’s the perfect combination of anatomy, technology, and a fast work pace. We get to see hundreds of cases every week and are bound to come across the most interesting cases in the hospital. I enjoy being able to use different imaging modalities to help clinicians troubleshoot a diagnostic challenge.
What are your career interests and goals?
Resident education, which was one of the things I missed most during my years in private practice. Clinically, I am most drawn to general pediatric chest and abdominal imaging.
Why did you choose to work at UW?
After being away for 5 years, I felt a pull to return to my academic family. I developed strong ties to this department as a resident, and it is a privilege to be able to join the growing Pediatrics section that is almost entirely new from my previous time here.
What are your hobbies?
Guitar, cooking, running, occasional pickleball
