Case: 201

Bicornuate Uterus

Show

History: 35 yo female with infertility
Solution: The images I provided you with for this case suggest a unicoruate uterus. There is filling of one horn of the uterus and the right fallopian tube with free spill into the peritoneum. However, the HSG should always be completed by pulling back the balloon, ultimately deflating the balloon and continuing to inject. Doing this allowed identification of the left horn and fallopian tube

An MRI can be used to confirm if needed, but be sure to appropriately evaluate the entire uterus at the time of an HSG.
