Testicular Cancer

History: 25 yo male with testicular pain.
Solution: Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in males between the ages of 15 and 34 with an incidence of 3-5:100,000. Most commonly associated with a palpable mass, but can also be associated with pain. Mostly unilateral, but have an 8% risk of developing cancer on the other side. It is important to look for retroperitoneal adenopathy since that is a common site for dissemination. This patient did have adenopathy. Outcomes have improved dramatically and even with metastatic disease, prognosis is quite good with appropriate treatment.
