Femoral Hernia With Small Bowel Obstruction

History: 82 yo female with abdominal pain and nausea.
Solution: Femoral hernias occur primarily in elderly females and are highly susceptible to incarcaration. They are seen medial to the femoral vein within the femoral sheath and can be differentiated from inguinal hernias by their lateral position, lateral to the pubic tubercle. These hernias generally require surgical repair.
