Cai Group Shines at Society of Nuclear Medicine Annual Meeting

Posted on July 2012

The good news keeps rolling out for the Molecular Imaging and Nanotechnology Laboratory, led by Dr. Weibo Cai, of the Imaging Sciences Section. In June, at the Society of Nuclear Medicine’s (SNM) annual meeting, fourth year Department of Medical Physics graduate student Yin Zhang won second place in the Radiopharmaceutical Sciences Council Young Investigator Award category. His presentation was up against six others, which were also preselected as the best abstracts in this category.

This is the second year that Dr. Cai’s lab submitted abstracts for SNM’s annual meeting. From the eight submitted, five were chosen to be orally presented, and two others were highlighted in the scientific summary sections. Both Zhang and Dr. Hao Hong, a research associate in the Cai group, won two awards at this meeting.

Congratulations to everyone in the Molecular Imaging and Nanotechnology Lab!
