Carbone Center Hosts Small-Animal Imaging Symposium

Posted on April 2016

The UW Carbone Cancer Center’s Small Animal Imaging Facility invites you to attend the Midwest Preclinical Imaging Consortium (MPIC) May 16-17 in the Health Sciences Learning Center. The conference consists of three sessions; an invitation-only Facilities session, and Scientific and Poster sessions open to all attendees.

While the Facilities session is intended for speakers, directors, managers, and technicians, the open Scientific and Poster sessions are designed to share the outstanding research that is conducted at neighboring universities in the Midwest. Speakers at the scientific session include decorated senior faculty members affiliated with small animal imaging and individuals from companies like Fujifilm VisualSonics and inviCRO. In addition, UW Radiology is represented by Professor Jamey Weichert, Ph.D., and Reinier Hernandez, M.S. Hernandez is a member of the Molecular Imaging and Nanotechnology Lab, headed by Weibo Cai, Ph.D.
