Dr. Ken Lee receives RSNA Research Scholar Grant

Dr. Kenneth Lee, Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology, has recently been honored with Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Research Scholar Grant for his proposed study “Quantitative Imaging of the Tendon: Use of Ultrasound Shear Wave Elastography as a Biomarker to Predict Tendon Rupture.”

Applications for RSNA Research Scholar Grants are peer-reviewed, and ranked on a scale from 10 (best) to 90 (worst). Receiving a score of 15, Dr. Lee’s proposal was among the top-ranked proposals from 263 total applications. This grant will provide Dr. Lee $152,000 spanning over 2 years to help support his research.

Proposals which receive funding are deemed likely to “exert a sustained, powerful influence on the research field.” The department congratulates Dr. Lee on this honor, and looks forward to reading his resulting findings.
