Changhee Lee, MD joined the Nuclear Medicine section as an assistant professor (CHS) in 2024.
Dr. Lee obtained his undergraduate degree from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and his medical degree from Kyungpook National University in South Korea. He completed his Nuclear Medicine residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

Why did you choose radiology?
I love radiology, especially nuclear medicine, which combines diagnosis and treatment for cancer patients through the use of new radiopharmaceuticals and cutting-edge technology.
What are your career interests and goals?
My college major was computer science, and I am interested in researching novel PSMA-related diagnosis and treatment, as well as image analysis using artificial intelligence to aid in diagnosis and prognosis.
Why did you choose to work at UW–Madison?
Everyone I’ve met at UW–Madison has been very nice and kind. UW is also very supportive of research, allowing me to balance clinical and research work. Madison has become my second hometown, and I love everything about it.
What are your hobbies?
Hiking with family and tennis.
