Fred T. Lee Jr, M.D., was named a top cancer doctor in Wisconsin by Newsweek, in their “Cancer 2015” issue.

Dr. Lee, the Robert Turrell Professor of Imaging Science, was included for his clinical and research efforts in abdominal and cancer imaging. The sole Wisconsin radiologist on the list, Dr. Lee has contributed to more than 200 scientific publications and book chapters, in addition to 24 inventions and patents.

The majority of Wisconsin doctors listed are practicing with UW Hospital and Clinics, underlining UW’s position as a top care center in Wisconsin. The next-best-represented hospital is Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in suburban Milwaukee.

According to Newsweek, the list is compiled through nearly 100,000 peer nominations and extensive investigation by a physician-led research team.
