The Cai Research Group, led by Weibo Cai, Ph.D. of the Imaging Sciences Section, has continued to impress, recently adding a textbook, UW Carbone Cancer Center award, and media attention to its already long list of accomplishments.

In February, a research poster authored by the group was awarded the Rusch Poster Award for Basic Research at the 6th Annual University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center Research Retreat. Also in February, the group’s work on “In Vivo Tumor Targeting with Nanographene,” a project in collaboration with Professor Zhuang Liu from China’s Soochow University, was highlighted in Chemical & Engineering News. Finally, “Protein-Protein Interactions — Computational and Experimental Tools,” a book edited by Professor Cai and Hao Hong, M.D., a research associate in Prof. Cai’s lab, was published in March.
