A recent poster, “Improving MRI Safety At The University Of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics,” was awarded “Best In Show” for Technical Innovation & Patient Safety from UW Health’s Quality Week 2010 poster competition. The poster was created by Dr. Scott Reeder, Dr. Jeff Kanne, Greg Spicer, Matt Henry, and Holly Krizek and outlines two of the many safety measures implemented in MRI over the past nine months: Outpatient Changing and MRI Safety Time-Ins at the MR room door. Time-Ins achieved a 31% success rate for preventing MRI safety hazards getting into the scan room. This poster will also be presented at RSNA 2010.
