MRI Department Recognized by MARC

The UW Health MRI team was recognized by Madison Area Rehabilitation Centers (MARC) for their employment of adults with developmental disabilities. The MARC Responsive Employment Services Appreciation Award was accepted on behalf of the department by Shawn Pulver, Kelsie Van Beek, and Kaethe Sigelko at the annual MARC Recognition Banquet in late April.

“I’m very proud of the work the MRI department does on a regular basis and I’m honored to display the plaque, as it shows the compassion of the employees and the commitment we have to our community,” said Kristi Klein, MR Manager for UW Health.

MARC was founded in 1952 to provide educational services to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. As schools began educating children with disabilities, MARC adapted to meet the needs of adults. Today, MARC provides services to over 300 adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities in the Dane County area.
