Radiology Clothing Sale Back By Popular Demand To Benefit Needy Families During The Holidays

Posted on October 2013

After raising over $500 in their previous campaign, Radiology RockStars, Radiology’s Employee Appreciation Committee, decided to bring back their popular clothing sale in the hopes to benefit needy families during the holiday season.

The 2nd clothing sale ran until Monday, October 21st. Four dollars from each item sold will be donated to The UW Health Radiology Adopt-A-Family program, to “brighten the holidays for the underprivileged families in our community,” according to coordinator Trisha Hardy.

“With the help of donations from supporters we will continue to see improvements in economic hardship, hunger and homelessness in Dane County,” Hardy said. Radiology RockStars™ goal is to adopt 3 families, and may provide them with foods, toiletries, and holiday decorations and gifts.

The previous success of the clothing sale enabled two donations, one to the Henry Vilas Zoo and one to the American Family Children’s hospital. At the zoo, Radiology adopted Pinky Potter the otter, and at AFCH, they helped provide services such as family meals served at no charge so parents and families do not need to leave their child at meal time.

“The goal is to continue to make a difference in our own community,” Hardy said.
