Posted on April 2012

The recipients of the highly competitive Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowships have been announced and the UW Department of Radiology is proud to share that Kieran Hynes is among the talented students chosen.

Hynes is an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin–Madison majoring in both mathematics and physics. The grant will support some of Hynes’ research in UW Radiologist Chris Brace’s lab.

The Hilldale Undergraduate/Faculty Research Fellowship was created along with the Holstrom Environmental Scholarships to support undergraduate research done in collaboration with UW–Madison faculty or research/instructional staff. As a recipient, Hynes will receive a $3000 research stipend. Dr. Brace will receive a $500 grant to help offset research costs.

Hynes and his fellow award winners will be formally recognized at the Chancellor’s Undergraduate Awards Ceremony on May 1, 2012, in Memorial Union’s Great Hall.
