UW Celebrates National Radiologic Technology Week

Posted on November 2015

National Radiologic Technology Week is celebrated annually to recognize the vital work of radiation technologists across the nation. The celebration takes place each year during the week that includes November 8 to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895. The week-long celebration calls attention to the important role medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals play in patient care and health care safety.

UW Health imaging professionals provide excellent diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services for patients across the continuum of care, from UW Health primary and specialty clinics to the emergency department, urgent care, and the inpatient care units of University Hospital (formerly UW Hospital and Clinics). During National Radiologic Technology Week, we thank the entire UW Radiology Department for their continued commitment and service to our patients.
