UW Radiologists to Raise Awareness for Heart Disease

Posted on September 2013

UW Radiologists invest a lot of time and effort into the early detection, imaging, and treatment of heart disease and stroke.
By participating in the upcoming American Heart Association’s Heart Walk on October 5, they hope to raise awareness and decrease death and disability from these common conditions they see daily.

Radiology’s team, the Radiology Pacers, hopes to recruit at least 15 members of the department’s faculty and staff to raise
approximately $1000 for the worthy cause, all while promoting physical activity and healthier living.

The race, which is non-competitive, runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Madison’s Warner Park.

Visit our team page for more info, to donate, or leave an encouraging message for those participating.
