New Media Student Will Doss

The School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Radiology would like to welcome our new news and media student, Will Doss. Will is a sophomore majoring in Life Sciences Communication, with a certificate in Global Health. With an extensive family history in the medical fields, Will is excited to join the department to gain scientific writing experience while learning about the wide range of applications for radiologists and how they have revolutionized the medical community. Will hopes to use the skills he gains here in a healthcare-related communications field.

Outgoing Media Student Taylor Nye

Will is replacing outgoing media student Taylor Nye, who will be attending graduate school at the University of Arizona in the fall, working towards both a Masters of Public Health and a Master of Latin American Studies. Taylor hopes to use these degrees to improve access and distribution of healthcare in Latin America, with an eye towards reducing disparities. Out of all the work she has contributed to in her year with the department, Taylor is proudest of her efforts towards establishing a social media presence for UW Radiology. She is excited to begin a career in academic medicine, which she has been able to experience firsthand in her time at the Department of Radiology.

Will and Taylor will be working together until Taylor’s departure later this summer.
