Dania Daye named keynote speaker for annual research symposium

The accomplished radiologist Dania Daye, MD, PhD will deliver the keynote address at the UW Department of Radiology’s annual 2025 Zachary Clark Radiology Research Symposium. It is also an opportunity to introduce Dr. Daye, who will join the department as the inaugural director of the Center for High Value Imaging (CHVI) in April 2025.

Meet our 2025 resident matches

On March 31, 2025, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health joined medical programs across the nation to celebrate Match Day. The department’s 2025 Match class consists of eleven diagnostic radiology (DR) residents and two interventional radiology (IR) residents. Our newly matched residents join us from near and far, with current Badgers and international matches alike. 

From fellow to faculty: Leslie Nelson’s incredible year

This past year, faculty member Leslie Nelson, DO earned accolades for her research as a fellow on the effects of semaglutide on body composition. Dr. Nelson continues her work at the University of Wisconsin Department of Imaging, recognizing the key role mentorship and collaboration played in the success of this research.

UW Department of Radiology first in Midwest to administer new radiotracer

The UW Department of Radiology became the first site in the Midwest and second in the nation to administer patient doses of GE HealthCare’s new cardiac PET radiopharmaceutical, Flyrcado (flurpiridaz F 18) injection. Through a long-standing collaboration with GE HealthCare, Nandakumar Menon, MD and Sarah Thordsen, MD introduced the use of the radiotracer that could increase patient access to cardiac stress PET imaging.
