Vice Chair of Equity, Anand Narayan, MD, PhD and Director of Diversity and Inclusion Maria Daniela Martin, MD organized a panel discussion geared toward first-generation medical students on March 30th, 2022. The event was coordinated by UW Department of Radiology, Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), and Daniel Bautista & Tien Vo from FirstGen. Along with Drs. Narayan and Martin, fellow Building Equitable Access to Mentorship (BEAM) program mentors, Erick Tarula, MD and Marcus Chacon, MD , supported this event.
The moderator was Alejandra Torres Diaz, a medical student at UW, who was also a panelist. Fellow panelists include:
