Dr. Grist Awarded International MRI Prize

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Thomas Grist, the Chair of the Department of Radiology, on being awarded the Kernspin Prize, an international prize for research contributions to MRI awarded at the 14th International MRI Symposium in Germany.

Dr. Grist received the award in recognition of his long-standing and notable contributions to MRI and MR Angiography. In addition to his award, Dr. Grist gave an invited lecture on the current status and future of MR angiography.

The symposium, held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, attracted a record 1,600 attendees from 14 countries. Along with celebrating Dr. Grist, participants shared the history of MRI and examined the promise of the field’s future.
