Dr. Wendy DeMartini To Attend AUR Leadership Program

Posted on March 2014

Many UW Radiologists are leaders, both academically and as an example for their colleagues and peers. Dr. Wendy DeMartini, Chief of Breast Imaging, has the opportunity to develop both facets of her leadership role at the Association of University Radiologists (AUR) Radiology Management Program from April 2-4, 2014.

The AUR Radiology Management Program is a professional development program, held this year in Baltimore, Maryland during the AUR annual meeting. The program focuses on a milieu of academic radiology management and leadership skills. Topics include operations improvement, conflict resolution, supporting academic missions, and quality improvement. Only about thirty individuals nationwide are selected to attend, specifically mid-career radiologists in leadership positions.

The department has been proud to support Dr. DeMartini in her academic endeavors, and she has contributed a great deal to our community despite having worked at UW for less than a year. We are excited for her to further develop her leadership skills at the AUR Radiology Management Program, and look forward to the knowledge she brings back to Breast Imaging.
