It’s not every day your research lands on the front cover of a major research publication, but Pallavi Tiwari, PhD did just that in August’s edition of the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Tiwari was the senior author of the article featured, “Stable and Discriminatory Radiomic Features from the Tumor and Its Habitat Associated with Progression-Free Survival in Glioblastoma: A Multi-Institutional Study.” Dr. Tiwari explained, “Our AJNR paper focuses on assessing reproducibility of the radiomic features in the context of survival analysis in Glioblastoma (GBM) patients. We investigated a cohort of multi-institutional studies to identify a set of features that are both stable (across sites) as well as discriminable in predicting GBM survival.”
Dr. Tiwari continued, “It was exciting to see our work make it to the cover as this study brings to the forefront the implications of developing machine learning models that are reliable, reproducible, and robust to changes across multi-institutional scans, and thus could ultimately pave the way towards clinical deployment.”
Congratulations to Dr. Tiwari on such an amazing honor!
