Associate Professor Beverly Aagaard-Kienitz, M.D., was honored to receive the 2014 UW Health Patient Experience Physician Champion Award. The accolade demonstrates her commitment to personable and empathetic care on a daily basis.
The award is presented to physicians whose scores on Avatar patient satisfaction surveys rank among the top five percent of the over 800 UW Health physicians surveyed annually. Dr. Aagaard-Kienitz is in elite company with this award: only 33 UW physicians were recipients in 2014.
Postitive responses to questions such as “My doctor showed care and sensitivity to my needs,” and “My doctor explained my illness or treatment in a way I could understand,” show the way the Dr. Aagaard-Kienitz brings a human side to the often faceless nature of radiology.
Dr. Aagaard-Kienitz sets a strong example for the rest of the department, and we are grateful for her dedication to the art of radiology.
