UW Mammography Clinics Excel In FDA Inspections

Posted on April 2014

UW Radiology would like to congratulate the UW Health Breast Center for recently passing their annual FDA/ Mammary Quality Standards Act (MQSA) inspections with flying colors.

All 8 UW mammography clinics, including CSC, East, West, 1 South Park, Yahara, Odana, East Towne, and DeForest/Windsor have passed this year’s inspection, with inspectors commenting on how well run the mammography program is during nearly every inspection.

These impressive reviews can be attributed to the dedication and attention to detail of both the mammography staff and the non-imaging personnel at those locations.

These annual inspections are required by the MQSA established in 1994, and focus on six major areas including facility equipment performance, technologist quality control, medical physicist survey, technologist and radiologist personal qualification, medical reports, and outcome audits
