The Department of Radiology made an impressive appearance at the 2011 Society of Thoracic Radiology’s Annual Thoracic Imaging Meeting!
Several of our doctors left the meeting with awards. Drs. David Sonntag, Cris Meyer, Jeffrey Kanne, and Donald Yandow received the Magna Cum Laude Poster for “Who is Jo? Lab Tests Every Chest Radiologist Should Know.” Additionally, Dr. Kanne won the “Case of the Day Award” for the second year in a row.
The Scanlon Symposium, which is held during the meeting, featured Dr. Kanne as the moderator as well as three speakers from the Department of Radiology:
- Mark Schiebler, MD: “MRA of Pulmonary Emboli & Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension”
- Sean Fain, PhD: “MRI of COPD and Asthma: The Role of Hyperpolarized Noble Gases”
- Scott Nagle, MD, PhD: “MRI of Cystic Fibrosis and Interstitial Lung Disease”
The meeting was held from March 6-March 9, 2011, in Bonita Springs, Florida. Congrats to all UW employees involved!
