We are very proud to share that The Association of Vascular and Interventional Radiographers (AVIR)
awarded the AVIR/ Bracco Award of Excellence to UWHC’s Heidi Apfel.
Apfel, an IR technologist, was recognized by her peers at the AVIR Annual Scientific Meeting in Chicago in late March. She was awarded for her persistent hard work and note-worthy dedication to the IR field. In her nominations, co-workers pointed out Apfel’s professional nature, maturity, motivation, and organizational skills.
The AVIR is an internationally recognized organization of health professionals within Vascular and Interventional Radiology. It is involved in standard of care issues and continuing education in the field.
