Biography

Jade A. Anderson, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, specializing in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention. She grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, and pursued her undergraduate education at Hampton University, a historically black college and university in Virginia. She then attended Boston University School of Medicine, where she graduated in 2016. After completing two years of Orthopaedic Surgery residency at The Ohio State University, she transitioned to Radiology residency at Norwalk Hospital in Connecticut. She further specialized by completing a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.

Dr. Anderson joined the department's MSK Imaging and Intervention section as an Assistant Professor (CHS) in 2023. She became co-chair of the Women Professionals in Radiology (WPR) committee in 2023, and is an active member of the Medical Student Education and Residency Selection committees. In addition, she is the new Integrated Block Leader for the UW SMPH Radiology Phase 1 Curriculum beginning in September 2024 (https://radiology.wisc.edu/education/medical-students/phase1/).

Dr. Anderson's career interests include academic medicine, with a strong emphasis on teaching and mentoring medical students. She is passionate about increasing diversity and women within the field of radiology, and is actively involved in healthcare policy and social media engagement for educational content. Her research interests focus on gender and minority health equity.

Outside of her professional work, Dr. Anderson enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines/restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.
