Biography
John Swietlik, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Interventional Radiology section. He primarily works at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital (VA). Dr. Swietlik graduated from the New York Medical College in New York City. Afterward, he completed his transitional intern year at Gundersen Lutheran in La Crosse, WI, before entering Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Wisconsin. Following three years of diagnostic radiology training, Dr. Swietlik became the first Integrated Interventional Radiology resident at the University of Wisconsin and completed his training in 2021. During his time in training, he worked on translational research in interventional oncology. His primary professional goal is improving access and efficiency of veteran care in interventional radiology, with a focus in interventional oncology. Personal interests include spending time with my wife and daughter, staying active, and exploring the great outdoors of Wisconsin.
