Our research pertains to pedicle screws used in orthopedic spine surgery, in particular we are looking at different ways that screw failure occurs. In this project, we are testing the relationship between bone mineral density and 3 factors: insertional torque (both tap and pedicle screw), pullout failure, and failure due to cantilever bending.
