Comparison of industrial computed tomography (CT) with conventional human-use CT for the purpose scanning horse limbs

The PI of this project was: Peter Muir, DVM, PhD

This project was funded by: Feasibility

The term of this project was: May 2016 to May 2016

The number of subjects scanned during this project was: 1

The primary objective of the study is to determine if industrial computed tomography (CT) technology could be used to image equine bone. For this study, the technical performance of an industrial scanner used for baggage scanning will be compared to the GE 64-slice multi-detector CT. Bone specimen from the lower limb of a horse will be scanned on each device for comparison of performance.
