Announcing the 2022 UW Radiology End-of-the-Year Awards

Posted on July 2022

The 2021-2022 academic year has officially come to an end. It was an interesting year that came with many challenges, including increased volume loads, the CT contrast shortage, and the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this year, our amazing group of faculty members, staff, and trainees have taken these challenges head on, and made the University of Wisconsin – Madison Department of Radiology even stronger.

We would love to recognize a few of the individuals that, despite these ongoing challenges, went above and beyond in teaching our residents and medical students throughout the year. The graduating class of residents selected an outstanding technologist, fellow, and faculty to receive awards for their teaching to the residency program. Additionally, the graduating class of medical students selected faculty and resident recipients of awards for outstanding teaching to medical students. Lastly, there are a few section-specific awards that celebrate amazing contributions to Head and Neck Imaging and Chest Imaging, respectively. This year’s awards go to the following:

2022 Residents’ Award for Outstanding Technologist: Julie Spransy, BS, RDMS, RVT, RMSKS
