Professor Donna Blankenbaker, MD, FACR and Professor Kirkland Davis, MD, FACR recently published their latest textbook, Diagnostic Imaging: Musculoskeletal Trauma, 3rd Edition. The book focuses largely on musculoskeletal (MSK) trauma, injuries, and sports medicine, and includes essential clinical information and information about findings one should expect using all relevant imaging modalities.
This is the second edition of the book that Drs. Blankenbaker and Davis have worked on together. “We were excited about the success of our prior edition, and with MSK imaging constantly changing, an update was needed,” says Dr. Blankenbaker.
The new text includes eight brand new chapters and updates to all pre-existing chapters by experts. The ultrasound component was expanded in appropriate chapters, as MSK ultrasound evolves rapidly. New high-quality illustrations and radiologic images were added to aide in the learning process. The book is available in a print and online format.
Drs. Blankenbaker and Davis are proud of their newest book. “Donna and I agree that we work really well together on these projects, and it’s always a pleasure completing a textbook together,” says Dr. Davis.
