UW Department of Radiology Ranked #11 in 2022 by Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research

The Blue Ridge Institute for Medical Research (BRIMR) recently released their 2022 ranking of institutions, departments, and principal investigators by the funding they received from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Radiology was ranked #11 with over $15 million in NIH funding, matching its #11 ranking in 2021. 

A number of our faculty were also amongst the highest ranked radiology researchers, including Jamey Weichert, PhD (#24), Scott Reeder, MD, PhD (#125), and Alan McMillan, PhD (#169). Within medical schools across the country, the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health ranked #28 with nearly $246 million in NIH funding.
