Biography
Alan B. McMillan, PhD, is a Professor of Clinical Health Sciences within the Department of Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has affiliate appointments in the Department of Medical Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. He is currently the Lab Director of the Molecular Imaging/Magnetic Resonance Technology Lab (MIMRTL), where the team’s focus is to integrate advanced modeling, data science, and physics-based approaches to improve medical imaging, particular for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography). The group has a large focus on the development, application, and evaluation of artificial intelligence methods in medical imaging.
